Samarottunga is a progressive rock and progressive jazz band formed in Bandung, Indonesia in 2013. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Andre Dwi Putra, bass guitarist Dhia Alfarisy, rythm guitarist Dodo Eldi and drummer Gerald Andreas. Taking Classic rock as their music genre, Samarottunga released their first single "Running Out" on 2013. Followed the release of a debut album called "Venuvana", Samarottunga added 2 personnel Adyka Fajar taking a role as Keyboardist and Cristopher Adhika as saxophone and flute player. their "Venuvana" has been released in April 2016.
